Before you leave
If you are travelling from South Korea, check the documents required to drive in Italy before departure. Italy's transport ministry lists the Republic of Korea among countries with a licence-conversion agreement, but short-term visitors should still verify the documents applicable to their own licence and rental.
At the rental desk
For rental pick-up, verify card/deposit rules and the exact airport terminal. Fiumicino and Malpensa are useful starting points for many Italy itineraries.
Driving in Italy
Historic centres can have camera-controlled ZTL restricted-traffic zones. Check local signs and parking rules, and plan motorway toll payments for longer routes.
