Car rental in Orlando

Orlando is the theme-park capital of the world, and it sprawls: Walt Disney World, Universal, SeaWorld and International Drive are miles apart. A rental car gives your trip its freedom — including day trips to Kennedy Space Center and the Gulf beaches.

01

Pick-up locations

Orlando International Airport (MCO) is the hub: on-airport desks in Terminals A, B and C mean no shuttles for most major brands. Resort-area offices along International Drive and in Lake Buena Vista serve visitors who use hotel shuttles first. Compare both options for your dates.

02

Driving there

Central Florida's expressways are tolled and increasingly cashless: SunPass and E-PASS transponders or plate billing. MCO offers a Visitor Toll Pass scheme for tourists — ask about it at the airport. The I-4 through Orlando is notorious for congestion; allow generous time for park-opening arrivals.

03

Good to know

Theme-park parking is paid per day (standard rates are posted by each resort), and summer afternoons bring intense but short thunderstorms — plan indoor breaks. The main driver will typically need a credit card for the deposit, and non-English licences should carry an International Driving Permit.
